This digital coincidence counting method (DCC) involves storing all the information from a given counting system, which then enables subsequent modification of parameters and analysis of the data for absolute counting. The DCC was developed as a joint project by the NPL and the ANSTO, from whom the equipment at the BIPM is on permanent loan.
