The IERS workshop on Conventions will take place at the Bureau International des Poids et Mesures (BIPM) in Sèvres, near Paris, on 20-21 September 2007.
The BIPM is located inside the Parc de St Cloud. Note that the Parc is closed at night (from 20:45PM to 07:30AM).

The scientific sessions will be held in the Pavillon du Mail, where
participants should go to get their badge and pay the registration fee. The first session will start at 10:00AM on September 20.
Registration fee:
On-line pre-registration is open at http://www.bipm.org/en/events/iers/registration_form.html. Please pre-register before 31 July 2007. After that date, registration may be refused if the number of registered participants exceeds the seating capacity. The registration fee will be about 50 euros and must be paid in cash (in euros) when getting your badge at the Workshop. It also covers the two lunches and four coffee breaks. The registration desk will open at 9:00AM on September 20.
Accommodation:
Participants are requested to make their own arrangements. It is highly recommended that you make your hotel reservation before the 2007 summer period. Note that some of the rugby world cup matches will take place in Paris around the period of the workshop.

Additional information
For those attending the two meetings (Journées 2007 and IERS Conventions Workshop) and wishing to stay at the same hotel during the whole week (17-21 September), there are two options:
- Stay at a hotel in the Montparnasse area. Take a suburban train (towards Versailles) to Meudon Bellevue (4th train stop from Montparnasse station), then
- to go to Meudon Observatory, take the free shuttle provided for the Journées 2007 (details to be announced later);
- to go to the BIPM, take bus No. 169 (towards Pont de Sèvres), stop at Parc de Saint Cloud, then walk into the Parc de St Cloud to the BIPM.
- Stay at the Novotel in Sèvres, then
- to go to Meudon Observatory, take bus No. 169 (towards Balard), stop at Meudon Bellevue, take the free shuttle provided for the Journées 2007 (details to be announced later);
- to go to the BIPM, walk into the Parc de St Cloud to the BIPM.
To visit the Château de Versailles
There are several possibilities with public transportation:
- Take the RER C from Paris to the final stop "Versailles-RG" ("Château de Versailles"); this RER also stops at Meudon (Val Fleury station).
- Take the train from Montparnasse to Versailles-Chantiers.
- Take the bus No. 171 from Sèvres to Château de Versailles.
