The BIPM collaborates with the National Conference of Standards Laboratories International (NCSLI) through the following declaration:

The BIPM and the NCSLI recognise the mutual benefit that can be achieved through exchange of information and joint activities. Both organisations therefore agree to carry out a number of such activities, to be determined from time to time and agreed by the Director of the BIPM and the President of the NCSLI. These activities will be reviewed regularly, specifically through the appointment of a BIPM representative to the Board of Directors of the NCSLI, as well as in bilateral meetings held approximately every two years at the BIPM. A list of such activities will be drawn up and be held by both organisations.
