The BIPM works in close cooperation with several other international bodies concerned with metrology. Details of agreements established with individual bodies are given below.

Relations are also maintained through representaton of the bodies on relevant Consultative Committees, and through the activities of the BIPM staff on external committees.

Various Joint Committees with other international entities have been created to undertake particular tasks of common interest: JCRB | JCGM | JCDCMAS | JCTLM.
