Nominations are solicited for higher order reference materials and reference measurement methods/procedures for laboratory medicine and in vitro diagnostics for listing in the JCTLM database.

To facilitate the nomination process the following files are provided:

• Nomination templates for submission of reference materials and reference measurement methods/procedures;
• Instruction file for completing the nomination files;
• Example of completed reference material nomination template;
• Example of completed reference measurement method/procedure nomination template.

Further information on the nomination and review processes can be found in the JCTLM-WG1 Quality Manual. Note that the review criteria for the Cycle V(2008) call for Reference Materials have been expanded to require compliance with ISO 15194:2003 and ISO Guide 34, and self-declaration that the statement on commutability of the material is consistent with its scope of applicability (which is to be provided).

Completed nomination templates should be returned to the JCTLM Secretariat.

The deadline for the submission of Cycle V nominations is 30 May 2008.
